Tropfest - The World's Largest Short Film Festival

TropJr

With clear skies and a massive audience we had a great line up of talent to broadcast live on Movie Extra on Sunday 22nd February!

I want to say personal congratulations to each of the winners with a special mention to first prize winners Genevieve Clay director of Be My Brother, winner of Movie Extra Tropfest 2009, Lachlan Nicolson winner of our inaugural Max Tropscore and Gabriel Colomb director of Dry Water: The Making Of and winner of Trop Jr 2009.

Sunday was a fantastic night and wouldn’t have been possible without the amazing support of our sponsors and the hardworking teams who put the event together.

I hope everyone enjoyed the films as much as I did – I think it was one of the best years to date! If you missed watching the films on Sunday or you want to watch them again be sure to grab a copy of the films in the Sydney Morning Herald on Saturday February 28th!

The TSI for Movie Extra Tropfest 2010 is ‘dice’ and Trop Jr is ‘dot’ so filmmakers can get rolling on making some great films for 2010!!!
